SOFT AND CREAMY DURIAN ICE CANDY



Ingredients:

  • 1 cup durian meat
  • 6 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2/3 cup Angel Evaporada
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions:

  1. Separate the durian meat from seeds and crush using fork.
  2. Heat water in deep pot and dissolve sugar and salt.
  3. Add the durian and stir. Let boil.
  4. Stir to prevent overflowing. Simmer for 10 minutes or until durian is thoroughly incorporated.
  5. Combine Angel Evaporada and cornstarch. Stir until cornstarch is fully mixed in.
  6. Add cornstarch mixture in the pot, stirring as you pour. Continue stirring for about 2 minutes. Then simmer for 3 more minutes. Turn off the heat then cool.
  7. Pour the mixture in ice candy wrappers with the help of a funnel. Place ice candy in the freezer and use the highest cold setting to achieve a very smooth consistency.
  8. Serve frozen and enjoy!
